El Salvador Resort - Danao City Cebu

Last summer, on our way to Alegre in Sogod, Cebu - we happen to pass by El Salvador in Danao City.  Danao City is located in the northern part of Cebu, 4th town from our place in Mandaue (Consolacion, Liloan, Compostela, and then Danao). It can be reached within an hour to 2 hours from Cebu City depending on traffic - by Bus (Ceres) going to Hagnaya or north bound, jeepney, or taxi. Since it is that near, we decided to give it a visit one hot Sunday morning.

Not your usual sandy beach

El Salvador is just a cute resort. Not as fancy as the Mactan resorts, but definitely better than the ones in Liloan and Compostela. But I guess a lot more people would prefer the resorts in Liloan and Compostela because they are way much cheaper. The prices of the rooms in El Salvador starts at 2000++ Php, and goes as high as 4000++.

Although I like their gardens and their grounds are clean, but they do not have a beach shore. So this is not for those who wish to lie on the beach. But it can be a good venue for events , especially the beach front. It can also be a perfect weekend getaway. A little away from the city but not too far. Accessible by public transport. And by the way, it only costs 175 Php per head for adults and 125 Php for children, if we just want to go swimming in the pool. However cottages are not free, and will cost a chunky 495 Pesos.
