Basilica del Santo Nino

Santo Nino devotees from far and wide come to pay their respect to the well loved shrine of the child Jesus... Celebration of the Santo Nino fiesta is one of the most attended and looked forward to...

Pizzeria Michelangelo Banilad

This cute resto is located in Paseo Saturnino Maria Luisa Road in Banilad. The place is small and unassuming from the outside but cozy on the inside. For Italian food lovers, this place is worth visiting.  One of the best lasagna and pizza I have ever tasted.  I wouldn't mind returning again and again...

Alegre Beach Resort

When we first inquired, all rooms have been reserved already. But their marketing officer suggested - the Day Tour. It is only 1500 Php per person, and you can enjoy the beach and pool from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What's more it is also consumable (Food) 1000 Php. A great deal!

Actually we just took a taxi, bargained with the driver to wait for us for a number of hours to an equivalent amount - which luckily he agreed. And so the commute going to and from was easy for us. A bit more expensive though, but convenient, because it is not exactly along the road. You can also arrange transportation with the resort.

Their reception area was designed like a native house...

Beautiful orchids in their reception area.

I fell in love with this view

The beach was empty for the moment

Stairs from the restaurant going to the cottages

A big jar of cool water to wash the sands from your feet

It was paradise for me...

Fine white sand...

There was a crab playing unmindful of us ...

I could gaze at the beauty forever...

My watermelon shake....

The pool was very much inviting too...

Our only regret is that time flies so fast, we have to go home already. But it was worth every little cent we paid for.
