Although they are only very few, but I am still glad they were preserved...

Italliani has arrived in Cebu! Okay, servings are generous and yummy too. But when the curiosity has already been appeased and the tummies are full, the reality is that - they are a bit expensive...

Kung Hei Fat Choi 2014

The Money Tree of Ayala Center Cebu for the 2014 Chinese New Year last Jan 31.  It was placed in the new wing.

MyJoy Ayala Center Cebu

Years years ago when I just came back from Makati on a vacation, my friends invited me to MacJoy in its old address in Osmena Blvd near Luym Bldg.  I think there was no Jollibee nor McDonald's at that time.  I remembered MacJoy then was simple and even a bit drab.

Now in comparison - the MyJoy in Ayala Cebu is a refreshing surprise.  It burst with colors in neon pink, neon green, and neon orange.  Inspite of the colors, it seems to attract not only young people but in fact more older ones.

Normally we just passed by Shabu Way, because the next door is our favorite Chinese restaurant.  One day for a change we decided to give it a try...  It is unique because you cook your hot soup in your table!

Now - ready to EAT!  Actually you can choose a variety of mixes, but we stuck to a simple combo.  We couldn't eat all of them.  This is actually recommended if you are many.  Then you can go for variety and a lot of mixes.

We gotta have our RICE.  So we also ordered a sizzling seafood platter.  The veggies were crunchy and delicious.  But the fish bits were a bit on the salty side.  For me only noh... perhaps others find it okay.

The foot path provides a nice walk towards Marriott from Ayala Center and vice versa, and when you are full after eating,  it can provide a little exercise. 

Pizza Hut (Ayala Center Cebu)

Christmas is always about bonding with families, relatives, friends, and even with officemates.  So Kit took time out to meet with ex-office mates at Pizza Hut in Ayala center Cebu.

Pizza came in thin and thick crust.  The salad and the spaghetti were okay, but not exactly extra ordinary.  Plus there was an unlimited supply of Pepsi.  The one that sealed the day was the yummy ice cream.  After that you wouldn't want to eat again till next day...

I was able to get around the city on a limited basis because traffic made it difficult for anyone to enjoy going around.  One lives in constant fear of not being able to find a taxi going home.

Big Mao Ayala Center Cebu

I've always wanted to blog about the foodie trips we made, but  somehow I will always forget the camera.  Then one Sunday,  we were able to bring the cam by chance.  So let's go and taste Big Mao's offering...

It was warm and sunny, and the pitcher of juice was so tempting... but funny because it was the fork and spoon that got the center of the camera's attention

Couldn't wait for the Pancit Molo to cool down... Gotta eat it piping hot...

Fried Rice is a favorite even at home... I add Chinese Chorizo to mine because it has a distinct aroma.  And perhaps some bits and pieces of ham.

A Fiesta and A Motley Of Colors

Young and old alike prepare for a fiesta celebration in a very grand way. Fiestas in the Philippines are celebrated to honor a patron saint for a particular town. Celebrations may take the form of music, dancing, feasting, beauty contests, balls, processions, sports challenges or a host of other events, but it usually starts with some religious activities notably a Mass or a procession. As it is part of our culture and tradition, we look forward to this yearly celebration with much enthusiasm. Of course, sometime violence may mar some celebration, but fiestas are generally peaceful...
